My Family

So much death and sorrow around me,
So hard it is, to be where I am.
So far from family, so far from friends,
Easter round the corner, but no joy to be found.

I wish I was home, oh how I wish to be,
Surrounded by those, who express love for me.
To be separated from family, by miles and miles,
I wish I could see all my family's bright smiles.

Yet I must deal with it, learn how to cope,
At least they can visit, at least I can hope.
Hope that time, passes so quick,
Then I can come home to the fmily, real riki-tik-tik.

I won't be much longer, no more than before,
When at my last training, when I walked through the door.
My last training I was gone, 6 months and a day,
At least right now, I can train my own way.

Because I miss family, I cannot wait,
So I dangle them before me, like a fisherman with bait.

Hey sweetie, i really love the content of this poem, but u started out having the last two lines rhyme, then the second stanza the first two rhyme and the last two rhyme...u need to keep the pattern consistent, and u have to keep the four lines, u cant just end with two..but its great hunney, i really like it
