My Son

In past poems I've talked about love,
Talked about family, a gift from above.
I've talked of my wife, who's beautiful to boot,
Now I'll talk of my son, who's oh so cut.

My son is one at the time this was written,
By the time he reads this, his will won't bend.
He'll get that from his mom, like she did from her's,
Its not a bad thing, just means he's determined.

Hunter's his name and a hunter he'll be,
Strong and brave, oh how proud he'll make me.
He'll go off to school, highschool and college,
He'll go on to do great things and usher in the tomorrow.

Jessica and I, thats my wife's name, can you tell?
We'll see him do everything and do them quite well.
I can see it already, yet he can't even talk,
Later on he'll run to his future, not just walk.
