My Queen

(This one I wrote when my wife had dark brown hair)
I sit here now in utter silence,
Stunned at what i now hold.
A picture, small and homely,
Yet a face it shows, brave and bold.

A beautiful woman dark of hair,
A woman who can do whatever she dare.
Someone special, to me at least,
The one for whom I would set a feast.

The feast would be worthy of royalty,
With Queen sitting on a throne of gold.
The Queen is pretty, her beauty unsurpassed,
That Queen is my wife with my heart as her throne.

We have had rough times, but hey, who hasn't?
I know our love has strength everlastin'.
She is my Quees, my heart is her servant,
Yet happy it is, and eager to serve.
